Download DiskPatch

You can download DiskPatch by clicking the CNET Download.com image, or by choosing an alternate download location at www.diydatarecovery.nl. It is prefered you download the DiskPatch setup program on a Windows PC to a disk that is not affected by the data loss issue at hand (if applicable).

If, after trying the trial version you decide to purchase DiskPatch, the downloaded version can be simply upgraded to the fully functional program using the license key that you will receive after purchasing a license. Disks that you have scanned with the demo version, do not have to be scanned again once you have purchased a DiskPatch license! 

Requirements:

• 1.44 Mb Diskette or CD boot capability
• BIOS must support the hard disk and hard disk size 
• 80386 or higher CPU (or compatible)
• Operating System: any MS-DOS compatible DOS version (FreeDos is included in the distribution)
• Any Windows version to install Diskette Builder utility

Important: Windows XP users may receive a warning before downloading DiskPatch or when first trying to run the setup, similar to the one below. This is because  DIY DataRecovery is not signed. 

We feel that software signing, which simply means that one *buys* a certificate - no questions asked, does not add to security at all and may even give people a false sense of security: After all, *anyone* can sign software: The software that is signed is not actually reviewed, verified, tested etc..
